Misselijkheid en overgeven treden op als je maag leeg is! Daarom raden we je aan om regelmatiger te eten dan gewoonlijk, bijvoorbeeld om de twee of drie uur, om het gevoel van misselijkheid en overgeven zoveel mogelijk te verminderen. De beste manier om dit min of meer ernstige gebrek aan energie te compenseren, is een micronap van 20 tot 30 minuten te doen. Dat is voldoende om je uitgerust te voelen en de energie te sparen die je nodig hebt voor deze zwangerschap. Dat is volkomen normaal! Door alle veranderingen in de baarmoeder neemt de omvang ervan geleidelijk toe, terwijl tegelijkertijd de capaciteit van de blaas afneemt. Het gevolg is dat de baarmoeder groter wordt, waardoor de blaas onder druk komt te staan en je regelmatiger naar het toilet moet! Je kunt paracetamol nemen om de pijn te verlichten, maar controleer van tevoren of je geen koorts hebt, want dat kan een symptoom zijn van een andere aandoening. De baby groeit snel en je begint echt voor 2 te eten. De gemiddelde gewichtstoename tijdens de zwangerschap wordt geschat op 11 tot 16 kg, maar elke zwangerschap is anders. Het heeft echter geen zin om je elke dag of elke week te wegen, want dat levert je alleen maar stress op. Bovendien neemt het gewicht tijdens het 2e trimester geleidelijk toe.
